FUNDAMENTALS OF DRAWING AND OBSERVATION
JUNE 5TH-July 17TH
WEDNESDAYS 6:00-8:00 PM
WITH CONNER CHOI
This class is intended for beginning and intermediate artists looking to improve their understanding of drawing fundamentals.
What makes art appealing? Why do we see things the way we do? This course is designed to give you the tools you need to start drawing and observing with an artist’s eyes. You will be introduced to basic drawing and observational concepts week by week using great historical artists and still lives in the studio as references. Each week will start with a discussion and demonstration about that week’s concept, and the rest of the class time will be spent drawing. One on one demos and critiques are standard. The first 4 weeks we’ll be drawing from various casts, still life setups, and references in studio, and the last 3 weeks will be with a live portrait model.
