Come explore Portland through the unique experience of making art outside! This course will teach you to depict the world around you using various mediums such as watercolor, gouache, pencil, and ink. We meet at a new location in Portland every week to explore different subjects of all kinds.

Materials list for this course
Pencils (I like mono 6 and 4bs, but anything soft will work)
Pens (Anything that goes down smooth with clean lines)
Watercolor sketchbook (Pentel makes a nice travel size one)
A watercolor set and something to mix on (Many sets come with trays)
Mason jar or similar for water
Small tube of White gouache or jar of Dr. PH Martin’s Bleedproof White
Camping chair or some sort of pad to sit on. Often times I just find a bench or chair nearby or sit on the ground, but if you want more comfort chairs are always nice.
Waterproof India Ink
Gouache in the following colors: Flame Red, Brilliant yellow, Spectrum Blue
